Artist: Giuseppe Rossi (1876-1952)
Born in Florence in 1976, Giuseppe Rossi studied at the local Academy under the guidance of Raffaello Sorbi, and made his debut with a portrait at the exhibition of the Società di Belle Arti in 1899. Portraiture was, together with figure studies, his favorite subject, with which he affirmed by participating in regional and national exhibitions. Many personalities from the political, military and aristocratic worlds were portrayed by him. He also did not fail to devote himself to landscaping, proposing glimpses and views both of Tuscany and of other regions of Italy.
